What is Black Friday?

As Thanksgiving gets closer I can’t help but think of the day after. Why? Oh all the sales for one, but many times when I ask a friend, "Are you doing Black Friday?" I’m asked what it is, so here goes.

Black Friday began back in the 60s but I think it wasn’t until the past few years did the actual term start getting used. The basic idea is when all stores try to reduce the price of their inventory in the hopes to get out of the red. Most of the time it works, but not always. But with the economy as bad as it is this year will we see huge drops in prices?

Now the question really is are you going to be hitting the stores on Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) and are you prepared? I’ll be going with my list and I’ve already checked it twice.
