What is the Best Time to Do Things?

If you’ve ever wondered if you should work out in the morning or afternoon, take your pills, or even weigh yourself, a new article has some answers. Doing things at certain times in the day makes sense, doesn’t it? Don’t some things just feel better at certain times than at others?

For example, if you thought sleeping in felt good, you’ll be happy to know that it’s also really good for you! Research says sleeping just “20 or 30 minutes later than you usually do—can make you more relaxed during the day.” This is straight sleep, mind you, and not hitting the snooze alarm a bunch of times.
If you notice that you’re at your lightest when you weigh yourself in the morning, you’re right. Weight can fluctuate by as much as three pounds per day, so jumping on the scale first thing in the morning – before breakfast – can give you a more accurate reading.

The hours between 5-6 are usually the best time to exercise. However, they said if you are now a morning exerciser, you should stick with it. People that exercise in the morning usually stick with more regularly.

Apparently allergy meds should be taken at night. I have to admit, I never do this. I always take mine in the morning. But they say you should take allergy meds at night to get them in your system well in advance of the morning, when pollen count is usually highest. Makes sense. I’m going to give this advice a try! How about you?

I do things backwards then. The best moment for me to run is in the morning, before having had breakfast. I know it’s not recommended, we need to feed our bodies, yadda-yadda, but after numerous attempts, I’ve noticed that I just can’t run properly if I’ve eaten in the past 3-4 hours… and since I have to eat about every 3-4 hours, it means either I go jogging in the morning or I don’t go at all. :/ (Besides, my best performances are done on an empty stomach. Go fig…)

I always believed that there is a time and a place for everything. I cannot explain why, but if i run in the morning, i feel fresh all day long.. instead of feeling tired. I also tried running in the evening, but after 5 minutes i`m exhausted. So I really believe every thing should be done at a certain hour.
