What It Means to Be a Lively Woman

It’s February, and most people have Valentine’s Day on the brain. The stores are turning pink and red, hearts and little diaper-wearing cupids are everywhere, and the price of roses has skyrocketed. But this month, instead of thinking about what your sweetie is going to do for you or what you’re going to do for your sweetie, think about what you can do for yourself.
Being a lively woman is all about loving yourself, your assets, your flaws, your talents, your lack thereof, your body, your mind, and most of all, your spirit. Popular culture has trained us to say, “Of course I love myself!” but do you really feel it? Do you live it every day? Do you know your abilities and your limitations? Are you as healthy and happy as you can and deserve to be?
This month, and all year long, love yourself. It’s the best gift you can possibly give — or receive.
