What To Eat When You’re Craving Sweets

The scenario: You’re PMSing (sorry guys) and all you want is a box of chocolates/an entire cake/a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. Cravings for sweets can be wicked, and they won’t be satisfied by a Diet Coke. What do you do?
In this situation, I wouldn’t advise having “just a taste” of the foods you’re craving. Having a couple bites of full-fat ice cream will most likely turn into a binge. My suggestion? Have something sweet, but keep it relatively low-cal, so if you do have more than one serving it won’t ruin your diet.
My old standby: Healthy Choice Premium Mocha Swirl Bars. They only have 90 calories and 1.5 g fat per bar. I don’t think they taste low fat at all. The texture is thick, rich and creamy. Delicious!
More in the mood for chocolate? Try Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches. They’re only 140 calories and 1.5 g fat per sandwich. Plus they come in a variety of yummy flavors, like Chocolate Peanut Butter and Cookies N’ Cream.
As long as you stick to 1 or 2, not the whole box, you’ll be fine
Thanks to Dexie at She Knows Best and Style It Less for the post idea.

I am seriously looking for those when I go grocery shopping tomorrow. Sounds Yum-O. Thanks
I think that would work for me. It looks decadent enough to take care of any craving that should hit.
Yeah, I know they’re not “super healthy” but cravings are cravings…
I’m intrigued by your name, must be a new blog? I’ll have to check it out!
It was a new blog until Blogger went and lost it on me. Going to start again somewhere else.
Sorry about that
Good luck getting it up and running!
I love the Skinny Cow sandwiches…the ice cream is very smooth and vanilla-y (is that a word??). If you can handle a bit of prep, there’s a similar trick used by other diet plans: Make your own sandwich from chocolate graham crackers and Cool Whip. Frozen Cool Whip is surprisingly ice cream-like. Take premeditated thought, but it’s not so bad if you eat 2…or 3 or 4.
Oh yum! Don’t tell, but I used to eat frozen Cool Whip Free right out of the carton…
