We wish you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!
As we make plans for 2008 at Alzheimer’s Notes, I’d like to know what you’d like to see here and how we can best help you, our readers. With Liz Lewis working in the eldercare field and I having been a caregiver for my mom and aunt, we offer different viewpoints and information.
Also, since Liz lives in New Zealand and I in the United States, we present a nice mix of information from around the globe…so helpfully we reach out to you in all countries.
Here are some of the areas we’ve touched upon in the past and hope to expand. What would help you in your world of Alzheimer’s and Alzheimer’s care?
*Current news and developments in the area of Alzheimer’s research.
*What’s happening in eldercare
*Inspiration and encouragement for caregivers
*Interviews with caregivers, families, and even Alzheimer’s victims.
*Books and other materials available regarding Alzheimer’s
*Coping with the high cost of Alzheimer’s
*Guest posts
We’re looking forward to hearing from you.

I’d love to see a post geared to people on the periphery of an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. For instance, the “friend of a friend” or the neighbor… what can help? What can hurt? And how can you do your part to keep everyone healthy during this difficult time?
Thanks, Angelique, for stopping by and giving your input. I appreciate it. I’ll plan to do a number of these posts throughout the year from this viewpoint.
I just happened across your website while trying to find information on balancing working with caregiving. I look forward to reading more in the new year.
Robyn,
I’m so pleased you discovered Alzheimer’s Notes.
I’ll put the topic of balancing working with caregiving on the agenda for us to cover throughout the year in 2008.
