What’s on your wish list this year?

So… what do you want for the holidays? I’m not talking about peace on earth, et cetera, but stuff that’s tangible.
The reason I ask is that I’m compiling a list of shopping suggestions for people who have eating disorders and who just want to feel strong in body, mind and soul. I think a lot of times the ED overshines the fact that the anorexic, bulimic or binge eater is a human being first and foremost and deserving of mental and physical pampering once in a while.
So what do you want to make you feel happy, satisfied, lucky, silly or just plain special? If you want to include a link to it (if it’s something we can all check out online), go for it.
(Personally, I’m really in the mood for some body scrubs. Last year, a colleague presented me with some musky Victoria’s Secret lotion and scrub and I adored it. I always felt kinda sexy when I used it. Oh, and the colleague was a female, not a guy — so it wasn’t a creepy present!)

I think that I would prefer gifts that catered to my interests rather than beauty supplies. I like to take pictures so a camera would be nice, or a nice journal. Videogames and stuff like that.
It’s easy to forget what you love and who you are when you are wrapped up in disordered eating habits and ritualized self-destruction.
Gifts like that kind of remind me I’m still a person and there are other things to me then my obsession with being thinner.
oooh… Nice idea! I seriously forget a lot of times that I’m more than my eating disorder, and then i often times feel guilt about spending money on myself because treatment (and bulimia) are so expensive. But here’s my wishlist!
1. A full body massage (even though that sort of thing is really anxiety provoking…I could sorely use one now!!!)
2. A dart board. (Back in law school, I would go to this bar to throw darts when I was really stressed…crazy because it makes my muscles really tight because I’m concentrating so hard on making the bull’s eye…but i still LOVE it!)
3. Guitar lessons. (I bought one a while ago and never took the time to learn. )
4. And I’m with Tamra…A new camera.
I just wish my Mom would accept my husband for the man he is, who loves me unconditionally, so we could enjoy Christmas together. That’s been at the top of my list for the past 8 years.
Oops I guess I didn’t read through the “Peace on Earth” stuff….
Um, I guess new diamond earrings since I have lost mine??? Two pairs I have lost now. GO me.
I really like bath and beauty stuff too. I love anything sweet-scented (like Philosophy’s 3-in-1’s, or Lush). I’m really girly that way.
I could use a massage, and in fact have even had someone on my treatment team recommend a place near me but even though my muscles are super tight (school stress and exercise) I wouldn’t feel comfortable with it. Maybe if I went with a friend, it would be better.
I am so into accessories this year. And I agree with the bath stuff, and also massage- great idea!
That Victoria’s Secret lotion and scrub is a great gift idea haha it brings out my creepy side
