When An Alcoholic Falls In Love
They fall in love forever, and I do mean forever!
Early on I was sitting in a meeting and a fellow said something I’ve carried with me for, oh, about 16 years or so. I thought he was carrying a negative attitude a bit too far when he said “I’m worse than a hopeless romantic.” Yes, the topic was how we seem to carry this “love” thing too far, to an extreme, as we do almost everything.
He said “I’m worse than a hopeless romantic, I’m a hopeful romantic.” And I thought “Geez, now that is profoundly true!”
I have a feeling this couple above includes at least one alcoholic… 
Not only that, but they sure as heck had a lot of trouble letting go

I used to think I’d have to go to another 12 step group for this, but I’ve since learned it is oh, so common, among us.

I saw this photo and story on the news. I damn near cried but then again I’ve been crying a lot lately.

Please correct me if I’m wrong. You’re coming up on three years within the next couple/few months right? I read you often and know you’ve been crying a lot. You may hate me for this but with your time sober it is NOT UNUSUAL to be in the place you’re in! I was there too…
Here’s the deal – whatever, whatever it takes, get through this time. Bat sh** crazy, looney tunes nutz, complacent as heck, screaming out loud, whatever – find a way to get through it and it WILL PASS!
