When You Don’t Have Record Player

It may not make music, but it looks groovy.
Retrograndma at Etsy turned an old vinyl record into a handy container. I see this working well for all those little things you need to set down when you come through the door — keys, phones, wallets, etc.
But she didn’t stop with the container. Also, check out her clock. This one is made from an REO Speedwagon record.
You may want to stroll around Retrograndma’s shop to find some album purses as well.
I’m wondering… Does she have a record player?
Do you have any junk creations made from records?

Cool holder; don’t like the earring deal much though. I see a lot of cool vinyl reuse, but it always hurts my heart just a little to see records changed. I know they get scratchy and all, but still. I am glad for the reuse though.
The earrings on that earring holder were bugging me anyway. I switched out the photo for a record clock. : )
I don’t own any records or a record player, but I have fond memories of my Shawn Cassidy record!
I’ve read that records are made of a type of thermoplastic that can be molded when heated with very warm water. I saw a few examples in an old book called Re/Uses.
