Where to find CD and DVD file folders and cases

I recently posted about ditching CD and DVD cases to save space. I mentioned that I was going to transfer all my discs into disc file folders. In the comments, someone asked where to find these folders, so I thought I’d show some examples.
Here are the ones I got:
Case Logic 72 Capacity Heavy Duty CD Wallet: I got two of these, one for CDs and one for DVD. They don’t hold much, but I listen to records mostly, not CDs and we don’t have mountains of movies. 72 will be plenty for us. I like that they’re inexpensive (around $12) and hard. I also like that they’ll fit easily on a bookcase. Plus the color is simple.
There are other choices though.
Case Logic makes larger disc holders that are pretty basic, not expensive, and variable in amount they’ll hold. Their products also hold up well. My travel case from them is at least five years old and perfectly good. I also have one for my computer discs that works well. I’d check out their selection of CD and DVD holders first. You can find any number of folders for discs at office supply stores.
You could also try a boxed solution: I don’t love boxes as much, because they’re not as easy to flip through, and also have to sit wide side down, but it’s not a bad option. One nice one box solution are the CD/DVD Storage Boxes from Winner Computer – I like the silver color.
The boxes come in various sizes. You can find stuff like this all over; even use photo storage boxes if you don’t have a large collection.

I’m looking for one that will let me keep the covers too. It would have to be a binder with inserts specifically made for dvd’s. I envision 2 dvds per page. On the front of the page you would slip the cover (possibly trimmed) into a sleeve. On the back of the page you would have 4 spots to put dvd’s (for 2 dvd sets). That way, you can flip through, checking out the covers and when you find one to watch, the dvd is behind the cover when you flip the page.
It would be nice if it was bound in a leather material or something nice.
I’m also looking into selling a bunch of dvd’s I don’t watch anymore. How do I go about that, any experience with the online sites that buy them from you?
I also like the little CD file folders with a tab like you would find in a file drawer. It allows me to browse the tabs for what I’m looking for. They have them at office supply stores.
But don’t you think CD’s are nearly dead???
I don’t buy music or movies anymore unless they’re digital online downloads.
And I even try to get my software that way so I don’t have to store anything but my confirmation codes.
I do store some photos on cd’s still as back-up though.

@Allison I’m the last person to ask about the death of CDs – myself, I’m a vinyl girl. I have mostly records. But I know tons of people with plenty of CDs around.

Thanks for the tip, any experience with them as far as quality and usability? They look pretty good!

They make good stuff. Got a 90/90 dvd and also got some extra pages for 2 dvd sets (I think they call them d3i). I’ve been using their cd cases for years and love them. My cases are the version with the pages that slide in and out and its cool cause you can take out a few discs for the road and not get scratched.
@Chris – I don’t know about online buying sites, we’ve had a few trade sites here, but none where you just plain sell them. I think most local, smaller video stores buy them used though. I decided I didn’t care about the covers, and DVD inserts, it’s not as if I read them over and over, so I went with basic disk folders.
