Where to Register For Adoption Showers
Why Register for an Adoption Shower? Many times chronological ages do not match sizes and developmental ages and people do not know this. We registered for bottles (and used them for formula nutrition and attachment) and people thought we were crazy but he needed to be nurtured.
Create a registry so people know what you want and need.
Where to register for your shower?
The Land of Nod, a spin-off of Crate and Barrel has a Baby Registry as of last October. They updated the list in January with great new products
I am a sucker for PBK and I found AJ’s bedding there and could not find another one like it. So, I registered for it and the baskets, and the Froggie Chair, and some fabulous divided plates (come to find out AJ is a food doesn’t touch kind of eater!).
We registered at Target as well. The basics are great and everyone loves Target. Why NOT Babies R’ Us, the usual place? They have a limited amount of toddler and bigger kid items but Target had them all.
A nice buying guide, “How to Create a Registry”, new parents’ checklist, as well as top registry items.
They also include a section in the registration about your baby. Good News? There is a checklist if you are adopting.
A unique idea with tons of stores all in one place. It does not have ALL the products yet (only a sampling of the best strollers and car seats) but it is a fabulous idea for moms who want the best of the best stores.

If you have lots of internet savvy folks, consider doing a baby registry at Amazon.com, as they sell items from Target and many other sellers, as well as from their own book selection. Electronics (that camcorder, digital camera, etc.), toys, clothes, you name it!! You can rate things as far as how important they are to get (nice to have, like to have, must have), and can even note if you would be happy with a used item or one that they don’t have in stock.
