Whittle Your Waist with Denise Austin’s Moves

She makes it look so easy … yet we all know how hard it is to tone up our abs and waistlines. Well, if Denise Austin is still going strong and looking good in her 40s, why can’t we? Let’s get with it.
Denise says hormonal changes in our 40s may “redirect fat from a woman’s hips and thighs to her belly.” So on the Prevention website, she suggests:
The fastest way to get the upper hand on your love handles is to target the obliques–the large ab muscles that wrap around your torso and pull in your waistline like a corset does. Do 2 sets of each move, 3 nonconsecutive days a week, and your middle will look trimmer in about 6 weeks.
Check out her moves here. The trick is to keep going, even after you feel your abs burning a bit. They taught me at Curves that most people stop too soon — when it starts to burn, they think they’re done. No — that’s when we have to keep going, keep pushing ourselves to see results.
But here’s the clincher: Denise says to showcase our newly sculpted abs, we need to “burn off the fat that covers them.” So we should keep up our cardio workouts of at least 30 minutes three to five times a week.
