Who Do You Miss?

Who Do You Miss?

Is there someone you really miss? This someone could be alive or dead. Most of us miss the company of someone special at some time or another. Today spend some time writing in your journal writing to this person using the unsent letter technique. Write all the reasons you miss them, the memories you hold dear, and the things you would love to do when or if you could meet up again. If there is something between the two of you, unresolved or still to be discussed, go into this in the letter. If there is anything you need to let go or forgive them for, write this out in your letter. It’s up to you to decide if the letter should be sent if the person is still living.

I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please feel free to leave any comments in the section below.

I want to start to keeping a journal, if nothing more than for therapy. I have a lot of locked up pain and anger that I can’t let out verbally. I will Definately have to using coding on some of the things that are very dark and other people would find painful to know.

I see you do writing prompts, which will be great to keep me going.

Can you offer me any times on how to begin?

  2. Hi JadedVixen,
I’m glad you are looking into keeping a journal. It sounds like you can use the ‘therapy.’ As far as beginning, just do that. Sit and begin to write whatever it is that comes into your head. The writing prompts will help you to start. As far as times, I think that’s what you’re asking; just try writing at different times of the day. I like to write in the early afternoon, but that’s because I usually can manage a little time to myself then. But experiment and see what time of the day or night suits you best. There are no rules in this journal writing fun. Just write or draw or scribble, lol, whatever you feel you need to do. Thanks so much for your question. ;-)
