Who Needs Sleep?

Last week, I wrote about having a mascot. I still feel that these people, umm I mean bananas fill that role nicely. Tonight, while I was browsing YouTube, I stumbled upon this video, of Ed Robertson from the Barenaked Ladies (one of Canada’s finest bands), singing “Who Needs Sleep?”

I think this should be the new theme song, for CFS Squared. What do you think? It most certainly sums up the sleep troubles that I have been having this year.

Here is Ed Robertson in the Bathroom Sessions singing “Who Needs Sleep?”

That’s a great song! You’d think with a name like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome we’d always be sleeping;)

While I have no problem with the name Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, it is slightly misleading in some instances…..

the insomnia, for one. Enough of that,

    Everybody sing now.

    “Who needs sleep?
Well you’re never gonna get it….”

and my favorite “Hulla Hulla Hulla Hulla!”

Good song! although now that I’ve seen those Bananas in Pajamas again, I can’t get their tune out of my head :) .

I have a ratty old teddybear named Basil who is my mascot and closet non-human friend. He came to live here when I was still healthy and reminds me of better days.

I love that song. Actually I love both songs…the bnl one and the bananas one. I caught myself, singing the bananas in pajamas song yesterday, in the office….ooops.

awww I love your mascot. Its adorable. And he has a great name :)

Totally. I’m going to help spread the song. Just look at his eyes. You can tell he needs sleep.

    Hi Sherril,

Yea, he does look a little tired. But perhaps that is due to touring??? I am not sure if the Bare Naked Ladies are on tour at the moment.

It is a great song though, and he is part of a great band (that has a lot of energy!!!!)
