Who Says a Trash Can Can’t Make You Smile?

I sure never did! In fact, I got a shiny new trash can for my birthday last year. It’s one of those stainless steel ones. Do you think getting a trash can as a birthday present is weird? Yeah, you are probably right. It is weird. My mom gave me a gift certificate to one of my favorite stores and it was on sale for such a great price that I just couldn’t pass it up!
I think that a trash can is a necessity in every room of the house. Some of you may think that duh, that’s obvious. But I have been to people’s houses before for an organizing session, and when I suggested putting a trash can in their kids’ rooms they thought I was brilliant! Ah, shucks!
Trash cans have come a long way baby. In fact, I don’t even want to call them trash cans. Let’s call them a “necessary decor item” for the room. Take a look at these trash cans from The Container Store.
– Isn’t this a beautiful trash can for the kitchen? This could be used other places where you would like red as an accent color.
- Perfect for the office or bedroom.
This would look great in a kid’s room or bathroom or even a girly office.
Now these trash cans can’t help but make me smile! They are adorable. Imagine them in your kids’ bathroom, or an animal themed bedroom or nursery.
What do you do with all those magazines and newspapers? Recycle them! Instead of letting them pile up on your coffee table, end table or floor; put them in this handy recycle can. When it’s full…take it away.
Another handy recycling center. It helps the recycling process not look so messy. You can put it in your kitchen and it looks like a piece of furniture.
