Children Reading
Youngsters read for various reasons. I was fascinated when I viewed some reasons on a library wall. These were young readers in grades 1-4.
I read because…
- I like happy endings.
- Books take me into a different world.
- You learn and gain knowledge
- Reading makes me feel calm…like I have my own space.
- I feel excited because reading is exciting…books are exciting.
- Books make me feel happy.
- It’s peaceful to be in the library.
- I like to read with my dad.
- I’m a reader.
- It makes me feel smart.
- Reading helps me learn about animals.
Why do the youngsters in your life read? Why do you read?
