Why Do You Need Creativity?

For me it’s a given that each of us needs a creative outlet of some kind. I don’t care if you create craft, art, paint, draw, write, doodle, whatever. I believe the need for creativity is deep inside every one of us and we must have an outlet to express that creativity or we suffer. But why do you need creativity? What drives you to express yourself through art or writing? Think deeply about this journal writing prompt. Does your family understand this need? Do they honour this need by giving you space, time and supplies? Is there a battle on in your place to have the freedom to create? Is this real or self-imposed? How can you allow yourself to spend more time expressing your creativity?

You might like to express your response to this in a different way than usual. If you always pick up your pen to write a response to a journal writing prompt, today use some visual techniques to express why you need creativity. Likewise if you normally visually create responses, write about it instead. Access a different part of your brain or creative expression and learn something new about yourself.

I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please leave any comments in the section below.
