Why I Love Etsy

First of all, I want to shout out to Tanya, the amazing artist at the Etsy shop called The Art She Makes; Tanya designed the Pink Ribbon Review banner you see at the top of this site; she deserves all the kudos I can muster up for a job well done, don’t ya think?

If you don’t know Etsy … let me tell you, it’s a great place “to buy & sell all things handmade” online — their mission is to help people make a living making things. 100,000 sellers from around the world have set up Etsy shops. Here are a few of my top picks from among the stores:

Hope Tree Print (this I love … proceeds from the sale of this item go to the artist’s roommate so she and her team can walk in The Weekend to End Breast Cancer in Toronto)

Pink Converse Sneakers embellished with Swarovski crystals and pink ribbon bows

Breast Cancer Awareness Tote

  1. I haven’t used Etsy myself, but I hear a great deal about it from the crafters and quilters I know. My daughter, a fabric artist, has signed up at Etsy and is getting her shop organized.

  2. Marijke says:

The site is looking great. Good job!

  3. Karen Lynch says:

    Thanks, Marijke. I’m lovin’ it.

Mary Emma, let us know when your daughter’s shop is opened — has she ever created anything ‘pink’?
