Why Summer Fun is Just What the Doctor Ordered

Because summer fun is all about relaxation … relaxing your body, your mind, your soul. Taking a break. Letting go. Letting your hair down, or putting your hair up (or doing both, which is what I appear to have done the day this photo taken of me on our recent vacation!).
Summer fun is about enjoying life and living to the fullest. It’s about seizing the day. It’s about not sweating the small stuff and cherishing the small moments.
I wish I could live each day of my life like a summer day … carefree, happy, casual … relaxed.
Yeah, summer fun is just what the doctor ordered. As it comes to a close, I want to hold tight to the memories of the fun things I did. I can’t resist … here’s a short list:
- I stood on stage for three songs during a Bon Jovi concert
- I jumped and played in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean
- I drank so many margaritas that I think my blood was pure tequila
- I ate steamers and drank beer with “the guys” on Cape Cod
- I went on scary rides with my oldest son at Busch Gardens
- I slid down the water slides and played in the wave pool and enjoyed every droplet of chlorine I encountered at Water Country USA
Now it’s your turn. What are some of the fun things you did this summer?
