Why You Need A Nerd

Denise tells us her reasons on why she prefers nerds and thinks geeks are sexy.

Take a look:

1. He’ll treat you right. Nerds are often overlooked by foxy ladies, so when they get one, they know how good they’ve got it. He’ll never not call or toss you aside for the next fine thing that comes along.

2. You’ll never take second fiddle to his band, and he won’t cheat on you while he’s out on the road. I’m not saying all bad boys make bad boyfriends, but ladies let’s be honest. How many actually are really keepers?

3. You’ll be hitching your horse to the right carriage. Nerds make great companions because they stimulate the mind as well as the body.

4. You can dress him and he won’t get mad. Yep, what lady doesn’t like to dress her man? Nerds won’t complain, they can use the help. Mine didn’t say word one when I threw out his ugly green blazer and replaced it with something foxy.

I reckon these are good enough reasons to base her decision upon. After all, that decision is a HUGE thing. Curious? Go on and check her article, Geeks are Sexy: Why Every Girl Should Love a Nerd, to find out

Cool guys never fail to take my breath away, but I always end up liking nerds, from my track record from college until now! They’re just so quiet and nice :) I just like smart guys. :)

Yea, some guys do have the wow-factor but often times it’s fleeting. I like smart, nice men — even without the six-pack and all that jazz. ;)

I’m not saying that women shouldn’t go for nerds, because they should but the reasons outlined in your post seem a bit misguided to me. Basically, it’s saying the reasons for dating a nerd is so that you can walk all over him and control his life. Maybe this wasn’t the intended message but that is the impression I got from the post.

I reckon the only reason that gave you that impression is #4. All the other reasons doesn’t even come close to “walking all over him and controlling his life” so you claim. :)

I agree with your post…hmmm it would be better if you also include the down side of having a relationship with geeks…;) let me share you some…
    1. since they are smart, you always end up arguing each other even on the smallest thingy…they cannot just agree on your side you have to prove your point (but there is no assurance that they will agree) before they bend on you…
    2. geeks doesn’t have social life, well if they do just a little dose of it…if you are sociable then there’s gonna be an issue asking for their permission to let you go out…and if they allowed you…you have to be cautious on everything that you do..and if you dont then prepare for a clash with your partner…
    3. since they love being just a homebuddy…not sociable…they love being alone…they are tough to face any predicaments…beware…if you become dependent on them then you will always end up pitying…they are the sticks and stones…sooo hard to break!
    4. they are busy working…it seems like it is their hobby as well…and eventually, you will feel that they dont need you at all because their mind is pre-occupied with work! oh well..good thing there is a heart enough for you to place with…:p

…sometimes when those down sides become routines…you will get tired of it…and have no choice but to end up the relationship…depressing isn’t it?
