WiFi Gets Powered by Sun

I know. This seems to be old news but I just found this quite interesting after my internet connection at home seems to be slowing down every so often. Anyhow, this new solar powered WiFi kit is created by Meraki.

Although there are already other products like this one, Meraki is saying that they are going to start sending it out and they would be making this product within the reach of the public. The company also did say that to use the kit, you would do have to use with it their Mini WiFi router and this then allows you to get a pretty good internet signal even if you are some 700 feet away. Yebba!

The router comes with a $99 price tag. Pretty okay if you ask me. However, Meraki has still to disclose just how much we need to spend to own that sun-powered gadget. The only thing that the Meraki said regarding the price was that it will “clearly be the most affordable option on the market.”
