Will You Still Buy Jackie Warner’s Workout Gear?

Jackie Warner

We have cooed over Jackie Warner’s fitness gear before here at Burning the Scale, and I remember wishing that she made plus sizes. (If anyone sees the show, they’ll know how futile that wish is.)

But I think I’m going to stop wishing for her pieces after her show took a nosedive in May. For those of us not up to speed, Jackie and her assistant were caught “accidentally” making fun of a breast cancer survivor’s supposed breast implants. Although Jackie and Lisa, her assistant, aplologized, Jackie also fired one of her trainers after he called her out on the situation. In addition, Jackie lost two sponsors, Propel and SoyJoy, after a lot of people contacted Bravo and complained.

What’s your take on Jackie Warner after all the drama? Do you respect her as a trainer and as a designer, or do you look at her a little differently now?

Now I feel scuzzy for even looking at her website. I didn’t really care for her before but now I wouldn’t even buy her clothes.

there is no audio or video that i have seen- and I doubt that any person would purposefully and willfully insult a cancer survivor like that. I have cancer survivors and mores specifically, breast cancer survivors in my family and I am still pro jackie. As for Peeler- there WAS tension there before and it was her decision to do what she did as boss- he was on thin ice for a while before that anyway. She has obviously gone through her own emotional struggles having a born again mother and being gay, so I assume she knows a little bit about what its like to be insecure or hurt. Get real people - we have all said things we’ve wished to take back maybe really awful, maybe just embarrassing.

I think everyone makes comments about others appearances w/ out knowing why they may look like they do. We have all done it, she was just being filmed. I will still support her and her hot new clothing line

Yeah see herre’s the thing. There is a difference between saying something innapropriate or offensive and then accepting responsibiliy for your mistake and apologizing and just pretending it didn’t happen to save face.

  5. Momof says:

Jackie has specifically stated (on her blog) that she did not make the comment (it was made by her office manager) and that an apology HAS been given. Since none of us were there and do not know what else went on-we only saw what the producers of the show wanted us to see-certainly hours of tape is discarded-I will not boycott the show or any of Jackie’s products for that reason.

Heaven forbid that someone tape ME for hours and hours and hours and then focus on a few negative moments I might have. So called “Reality TV” is notorious for that-no one is perfect-it is easy for producers to slant and manipulate the footage to make someone out to be very different than they are.

BTW, of course I thought the comment was inappropriate…but I feel that becoming the holier than thou judges and jury and punishing Jackie for a comment she didn’t even make, by trying to cancel her show and livelihood, well that seems even MORE than innapropriate-It seem spiteful and vindictive.

I think that Jackie Warner has shown her true colors. She is a very manipulative and phony person. She is obvioulsy very insecure if she is making fun of someone, let alone a cancer survivor. It doesnt matter that she did not know. I will not watch her show and I would not support the sponsors on her show.

  7. Robbie says:

Thank you, Momof! I wish people would remember that this is all scripted and that if people want to blame anyone it should be Bravo. I love the show and think we should make Bravo have a season 4 and show all of the cast in a better light!

  8. mike green says:

I think her line stinks. It’s hideous.

Also, though her show is scripted, her lack of apology was her choice.

And if acting like a psycho. ego-maniac is an act, she can act like an mf.

I bought her white tank, BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!! The black print on the white tank was worn looking as if it had been washed over and over ,it was faded and a size Med is way to big. Just not worth the money and after seeing her on her show, howshe wanted the best clothing, well she did not get it….

  10. vr says:

I beleive it was her assistant who said it,NOT JACKIE, we cannot control what comes out of other peoples mouth sometimes, can we.
