I feel good about myself when someone compliments how I look, or when I’ve actually lost a few pounds instead of gained. It seems like this is a book I might need to read to get the inspiration to care more about myself and live life, not worry about how I look.

Although I still need to lose at least 50 more pounds, I try to remember how far I’ve come. Since I was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago (and I’m fine now), i’ve lost over 90 pounds. (Much of it during chemo.) I am more active now, and my daughter has pointed out that I’m not as grouchy. I now exercise a lot, and feel good about my improvements.

I feel good about myself because I feel like I have been a good daughter as well as a good mother. My mother raised me to believe that you should do unto others as you would have them do to you and I hope that I have raised my daughter to do the same. Thank you for the opportunity to win! I hope you have a happy and healthy New Year!
