Win Beyond Blogging e-book for Career Guidance

Deborah Ng of Freelance Writing Jobs recently published an e-book — Beyond Blogging: Using Your Blogging Skills for Bigger and Better Things.
The 23-page e-book is selling for $9.95, and two winners will have a chance to receive it for free! (Yes, this is a women’s blog, but men are very welcome to enter as well.)
Deb’s book is about moving beyond blogging, but, of course, working as a full-time blogger is a valid career choice too. However, that option isn’t available for everyone. And you may choose to move into a job that’s not on a freelance basis. Or perhaps there’s a company you really admire, but they aren’t hiring bloggers. How to get in?
From Deb’s recent post:
Beyond Blogging: Using Your Blogging Skills for Bigger and Better Things is about realizing your potential, and using it to your benefit. In addition to suggestions as to the types of jobs and careers you look into, Beyond Blogging will also show you a few places to look.
Keep reading this review to find out how to enter to win.
Deb’s own experience as a blogger (both for networks and on her own) led to a full-time job at blogtalkradio!
Her e-book won’t explain how to set up a blog or get readers. It speaks to experienced bloggers who may not realize that their blogging skills can lead to other positions. Obviously, the employment rate is falling, so e-books like this that help you take a look at your skills will be quite useful.
Beyond Blogging is a blogging-related careers guide, but not one that holds your hand. Deb said in another recent post:
My book offers many suggestions for taking your blogs to the next level, and even offers a few suggestions for getting started. I think it gives the reader inspiration to move on to the next level and hope it gives out lots of ideas for avenues to pursue. It doesn’t hold your hand, however. It doesn’t give you step by step instructions for taking your career from point A to point B.
But that’s fine! I believe that part of life’s journey is sometimes figuring out the directions for yourself.
Often, the most obvious things about yourself are hard to see until a good friend points them out. That’s how I think of this e-book. Perhaps you’ve never taken the time to really evaluate all the skills required in blogging. Maybe you have no idea how those skills can help you get a job. That’s where this e-book comes in. It’s like a mini-counseling session for cheap.
As I mentioned, two readers will receive a copy of the e-book courtesy of Deb Ng!

Great giveaway, Peggy! I love blogging because I really enjoy interacting with readers, and blogging makes it so easy to do that.
And here’s my Twitter link for an extra entry:

My podcast is an aural blog for me, and my blog just a reflection of the audio podcast. “Tourist In The City” is my mix of New York and Me, how the two of us stumble through each other. I speak better by editing the stereo sounds of the City than in my own written voice.
And, this contest was just tweeted… http://twitter.com/DawnAllcot (I hope I supplied the link you needed, I’m kind of new at this.)
I love blogging because it helps me to write about our get-out-of-debt plan and gives me accountability. (I’m less likely to spend wastefully when I know I’ll have to admit to it publicly later!)
I started blogging as a means of training myself to write on a schedule. Now, I do it because it is fun, and the skills I learn now will help me better market myself in the future.
I like blogging because I can help others through things. The Freshman Writer allows me to help beginning writers get published. I also have a writer blog of my own where I keep myself accountable of my writing goals and projects. I also keep an anonymous blog to vent about things not related to writing. Thanks for letting me share.
OK. I posted about the contest here: http://jennifer-roland.blogspot.com/2009/01/win-e-book-on-blogging.html
i love it and am addicted to it
its the only way to win
I wanted to start something new- like a new hobby and meet new people. I enjoy it so much and love the people and all the giveaways I have been able to host.
Everyone has a story, but I’ve read very few about librarians. I share my interests and opinions about other subjects, too. Mahalo for the contest!
I love blogging because I learn so much about myself and about others. Its like broadcasting, but its right there in black and white and I can go back and reread things that I need to think about or work on.
I also blogged about the contest here. http://allcotmedia.blogspot.com/2009/01/win-prizes.html
Thanks for holding this contest, Deb and Lively Women!
I love blogging in my spare time; it lets me relax.
I don’t blog myself, but my brother-in-law does. He likes to share his views with others, and wants to network. If I win the book, I will give it to him.
Lovely giveaway! I’ve been reading Deborah Ng’s Freelance Writing Jobs blog for a while, and I’d love to read her e-book.
Why I blog: because with no one at home but a baby and a dog to talk to, I have to share my opinions with someone.
I twittered about this contest: https://twitter.com/EHartshorn/status/1170961657
because I enjoy it
I choose to blog because I feel there are too few blogs for my demographic and interests. I like putting ideas out there and seeing what bounces back and I like writing memoirist pieces that compel people to comment.
Well, I blog because Its the only time Im really free. I can talk about anything, anything.
And I have alot to say. It ranges from world matters, to trivial celebrity gossip.
I blog to keep my out-of-town family up to date on our daily lives.
I blog mostly for my enjoyment and to keep in touch with family.
I choose to blog because I love the interaction with others- and I choose to blog with my family because it is new and fresh.

I choose to blog because it allows me to post items on my mind. I have a couple of blogs one is very private and the other is very open.
blogging is theraputic for me.I need to get stuff off my chest and blogging is the perfect place to do that
I chose to blog to find information on subjects I am interested in and to meet others.
I like blogging because of the discussion. I can always find people to discuss topics with.
I have to be honest. I only set up my blog so I could qualify for some contests. But I am trying to decide on a direction. I am thinking of sharing my crafting and quiltmaking.
Right now, my blog is private, and I use it to complain about things or rave about them. One of my resolutions this year is to start up a public blog…and my promise to myself is to keep my rants to a minimum.
Tweeted!
