Valentine’s Day is coming up soon, and, b5media’s Lifestyles Channel is sweetening things up with love notes from each site.
I’m giving my Valentine to you, faithful readers, for visiting Career and Kids, and, sharing your experiences and wisdom about working parenthood.
I try to make this place a spot that emphasizes how, with both job and home responsibilities, we can do things better, support each other, and, discuss issues.
Working is hard. Parenthood is hard.
Those of us who do both, simply do what we do for a multitude of reasons. It’s neither better nor worse than the next person, but, like any group, we share some of the same challenges, and, it’s good to know we’re not alone.
So, with that, I hope you’ll accept my Valentine and stick around Career and Kids, I enjoy having you here.
If you don’t stick around, I shall assume you’ve hit it big in the lottery, and, the “Career” part no longer applies, and, you’re off at the beach.
Wishing all of you health, happiness, and, a lifetime of dinners magically prepared for you every day before you get home from work.
If I win the lottery I am buying a house at our near our mutual favorite beach and will be offering you time there! (I feel like the more generous I am with my potential windfall the more likely I am to win it.)
