Have you ever given blood? I have, but I’ll admit I haven’t done it in a long time. Boy, do I have a lot to learn from Margaret Delfino, who just donated her 200th pint of blood last week. Delfino, who is 90, began donating blood back in 1954. She kept doing it regularly, until 2001 when she was diagnosed with cancer.

But she didn’t let the cancer stop her. When she was declared cancer-free after five years, she went back to donating. She even believes that her continual donations may have helped her overcome cancer. She says, “I donated all that blood, and the doctors were changing my blood, is why I came through the cancer the way I did.”
I wonder how many lives this lady has touched with her generosity? She’s definitely an inspiration.
