Women Health Care Workers Unhappy

Do you work in health care?  Are you happy?

A survey of 7,792 women working in health care found that “less than 10% are very satisfied with how they balance their career and home life. Some 45% say each week they are faced with decisions that pit their families against their jobs.” ~source

This number was astounding for me because most of the people I’ve met in the health care field seem very happy and content.  I’ve always thought of the health care field as one that offered more opportunities to balance career and family, such as higher pay and flexible schedules.  But this survey seems to go against this thinking.

What do you think?  I’m especially interested to hear from women in health care here!
