Women Risk Risky Sex at Worst Time

Women are most attracted to sex with masculine, high-risk men during ovulation, when they are most likely to get pregnant, a Kinsey Institute study suggests.
This study almost makes it sound like women are comparable to female dogs in heat. I’m not sure I agree with all this really… I do believe women are more prone to risky sex when they are experiencing some emotional distress of sorts – that’s when they crave attention most. And even if it’s false love and attention, it’s still something.
What do you think?
Do we really need a study to tell us this?

I have been talking to several women online and I get more of the impression that Gayla has. The women I talk to for whom sex is a hobby or game also seem to be the most pessimistic and depressed about life in general. To me, they are making up for some void with sex, but sex probably does not keep the void filled if it fills it at all. Consequently, they remain depressed and pessimistic.
Even if that aspect is true, it does not mean that the study’s results are not. When we make these observations, they aren’t backed up well with actual random data. A good study will average that data out to more approximate true randomness.
I can agree with that…in fact I think I’m in heat right now…ahahh! JK! But something to do w/ the winter, holidays and PMSing…makes me want a man even more….
It would make sense in terms of evolutionary development- studies have already shown that women often use a steady man as a provider while operating independantly in seeking stronger genetic stock from outside the domestic partnership. Were the woman single, this would manifest itself as seeking rougher stronger types (who are not necessarily bread-winners) during ovulation period, and worrying about pinning it on some rich guy once she’s already knocked up.
