women healthWhile disparities in healthcare between men and women still exist, the many headlines each day focusing on women’s health is heartening. Here are some of the articles that caught my eye today:

  1. Sudan: Women facing mental-health problems in Darfur
  2. Doctors: Hormone pills still have use. Menopause treatment works and can be used by some, physicians say.
  3. Public Health Officials Meet to Discuss Ways to Make HPV Vaccine Available to Women in Developing Countries
  4. Alcohol warnings for pregnant women. Warning labels on alcohol may soon appear in NSW, Australia following reports of the doubling of birth defects due to women drinking during their pregnancies.
  5. Older women helped by alcohol
