Working Over an Old Jacket

Noreen Crone-Findlay (a fellow b5media blogger) has posted a really interesting idea–the idea that if you make something and it doesn’t turn out the way you want it to, it doesn’t mean you should throw out the project!  Her post is here.

It seems that (from what I can gather…you should really check out her site and links) she tried to remake an old jacket (a praiseworthy thing on this site!) and made a mistake with the button hole.  She then (after kicking herself a few times) decided to continue the project using buttons she covered with her own woven cloth and some knitted cord she made herself.  Talk about a do-it-yourselfer!  (In some places this is called DIY.)

  1. Thanks so much Josh! I am really pleased with the ‘re-fashioned’ jacket (re-made from a coat that didn’t work)…….. and the closure is a treat now – lots of reclaiming/recycling involved! :o )

  2. Not a problem, Noreen. It sounds like you had quite the lengthy project on your hands.
