World Alzheimer’s Day – September 21

Many events are scheduled throughout the world in recognition of World Alzheimer’s Day, September 21.  Some will draw attention to this disease; others will help raise funds as well.

Check with local nursing homes (the one where Mother stayed always had a Memory Walk fund raising event) and see what they are sponsoring.  Your local Alzheimer’s Association chapter, home health care association, local hospital, and senior center also may be participating in events.

Other events scheduled around the country and world throughout the weekend are golfing events, mountain climbing, and walk-a-thons.
