Wrapping Gifts In Green

Not literally, mind you. I am talking about how you can wrap your gifts to your loved ones this Christmas so much so that you do not help add to the large amount of waste in the trash. There are ways and you should start choosing which one to use for yourself because in just a few days, Christmas is gonna be here.
One of the best things that you can do is by using gift wrap that is made from recycled paper. You can check that out before you actually purchase the item. See if it has the recycle logo in it. That is a way of going green.
Another tip that you can use is by re-using all those Christmas gift wrap that you have saved last year. I mean, those gift wrap sure are all still in good condition. If the paper is too crumpled, you can try to fix it up by running a hot iron over it.
Do you have other green gift wrap ideas?

This year I wrapped as many things as I could with dish towels. I used safety pins to secure them. They are reusable and make a pretty “green” wrapping.
We have GOT to get more people to recycle. Remember the commercial back in the 70’s with the Native American Indian crying over the mess people make? That was a strong message. Here is a less depressing, kind of cool way to get the recycling message to people. Check it out: http://www.awarenessideas.com/awareness-animation-a/405.htm
I’ve used catalog pages before.
Nice tip Jennifer and Peggy.
