WWYD: Anniversaries, Birthdays and Presents

Someone close to me had said, “Of course, it matters. We girls love prezzies.” That’s not verbatim but I think you know what I’m getting at, right?
Well, time came and went. Special days for special people. Do gifts or presents really matter?
I love giving gifts and, quite naturally, receiving them. How about the rest of you? it doesn’t really matter if they’re expensive or if it was just one small card that greeted me, I’d treasure it. It somehow tells me that you’ve thought of the day beforehand. You were counting down the days till you can actually bring out the gift and make me feel special on that special day since I’m a special person in your life.
It can be in celebration of your first year anniversary, birthdays, Christmases or whatever. That special occasion spent together, a gift is a way to remember it by.
What about you? Will you put stock on giving gifts on these occasions? Why?

Getting gifts during anniversaries, birthday, etc, is nice but I get more excited and appreciative when I get gifts from Hubby just coz. On special occasions, let’s face it, getting a gift is expected. I love it when my husband surprises me with fresh pink roses after works, or a new crock-pot to replace an old one. The last surprise gift I got from him was a couple of months ago, a multi-color rose plant that I have to take care of everyday
In short, Men should surprise their ladies, respectively, with gifts, any day. No occasions necessary and certainly not just jewelries or expensive things. A chocolate bar is always appreciated after a long hard day

Dexie: What you said is so true. I love surprises. Sometimes, I like the “gesture” or letting me experience something new but I also appreciate something tangible cuz I like the romance it brings.
