You Complete Me

You complete me” is quite possibly the one phrase from a movie that’s done more damage to relationships than any other.

Nothing will make a man head for the heals man faster than a woman immediately wants him to take care of her. And if they aren’t running they’re either confused or emotionally unhealthy themselves. A man desiring to be intangled in this type of relationship SCREAMS controlling, a macho man’s man, or deeper more serious issues with the MOM figure in their lives.

Women should NEVER EVER communicate that she’s wanting to be “taken care of”, completed by a man, a man to make her whole, and anything else dripping with emotional sap as such.

I believe without a doubt that for ANY relationship to be healthy and succeed, each person involved should be comfortable and happy with theirself.  If they feel incomplete, they need to look more toward Dr. Phil than their next date.

Sure, it’s ok to feel as though a person brings something to the relationship that was lacking, but not to feel as though they complete you as a person.

Uh Huh!  How many of you have fallen for that line or are guilty of using that line yourselves?  And are you still being completed by that same person?

Do tell!

I agree — people should be complete, and have something to offer others, not look for someone to complete them.
