You Get What You Ask For: Educational targets “too low” for autistic students

Reported in the October 31st BBC News:

A report by the HM Inspectorate of Education said that most autistic pupils were developing well but found the targets set for them were too low. [my emphasis]

    Not surprising…life skills in Kindergarten? Who would settle for this outside of “Special Ed?” They wanted to give up on Hunter’s handwriting since “everyone uses a computer anyway.” He’s in KINDERGARTEN. We’ll keep trying, thank you very much.

  2. Once I found 6 year old Charlie doing what looked like sorting zipcodes——that came to an end soon.
