Your baby is growing – finishing the second trimester

It may not seem like it yet, but the end is closer to now than the beginning was. Now that you’re 6 months pregnant, you have 3 months or less to go. Hopefully, it’s been going well.

If you want to see what your baby looks like in the earlier stages of pregnancy, here are three earlier installments: Your baby is growing – the first 2 months, Your baby is growing – the third month and Your baby is growing – months 4 and 5.

What does your baby look like now?

24weeks_NC

At 24 weeks, your baby is sure beginning to look like a baby. At 22 weeks, your baby’s taste buds began to form. Mind you, how fussy they can be at a young age makes you wonder how well they formed… If you have a boy, the testes will start descending at this point.

At 23 weeks, the lungs are starting to prepare for life in the outside world. And at 24 weeks, the image to the left, foot prints and fingerprints are forming. Your baby likely weighs about a pound and a half.

Now that the baby has reached 25 weeks, the hands are fully developed and at 26 weeks, the eyebrows and eye lashes are formed.

At 27 weeks, your baby is likely 3 or 4 times the length he or she was at 12 weeks. The image to the left is the baby at 28 weeks. His or her eyes may be opening and closing and he or she should be about 2 to 3 pounds.

Don’t forget the Prevent drownings (plus a DVD give-away). The give-away ends June 15 at 11:59 PM.
