Dr. Seuss month continues throughout March.
One of the most interesting stories about Dr. Seuss (if true) is that the book, Green Eggs and Ham, consists of just fifty different words because of a bet. The story goes that Seuss’ publisher, Bennett Cerf, made a bet that Seuss could not write a book using only fifty words.
The book went on to become a best seller. So here’s my challenge to you: Write the beginning of a story using only twenty words…. Go!

ooh I like this challenge, kids are home this week for Spring Break so I have homework for them now and it’ll be fun. Thanks.
Eliza – my kids are home for spring break, too. What a super idea! If you (or any other readers) send me your stories, I’ll post them. Send via email (click on “email” under “About One Book Two Book” in the sidebar).
sounds like a plan, they’ll start doing Dr.Seuss this week. Oh and since we saw Horton yesterday they’ll be writing up their own reviews.
