US World Cup skeleton rider, Zach Lund, has completed his one year suspension from the sport, and in ready to compete. Last year, Lund was suspended for using finasteride, the active ingredient in Propecia. Lund maintains that he used the drug to combat hair loss – a claim supported by the photo which accompanies this USA Today article. The problem, is that finasteride can be used as a masking agent to conceal other steroids. Ultimately, Lund lost his appeals and had to sit out.
