A new range of electric cars is going to take the auto industry by storm. This new vehicle line would be coming from Zap, a company whose name means Zero Air Pollution and also a creator of electric vehicles.
The new vehicle is known as the Zap-X and it is a product of the collaboration of Zap and of Lotus Engineering. This one has been created based on the APX (Aluminum Performance Crossover) concept vehicle from Lotus that is quite a lightweight vehicle. However, the Zap-X is still a concept vehicle and it would be unveiled in Las Vegas at the North American Dealers Assocation.
The Zap-X comes mounted with a new battery system. The details of this new system has yet to be announced though. However, the only pieces of information on hand is that the vehicle can run 350 miles in just one 10-minute recharging. Oh, did I already mention that this vehicle can run a top speed of 155mph?

Even better, I’ve been reading about a car that not only generates electricity, it returns excess electricity to the grid. Google V2G for more info.

One probably needs to store this energy on batteries and then return excess electricity to the grid at the end of the day.
You would probably need to carry a battery bank at the trunk of your car.
What’s nice to see is to have these excess electricity partially power your house at night when you get home.
