#15. As Long as You’re Sitting There

In the tradition of my kegel coach, stability ball and leg flex posts, I am trying to help you address your postpartum health and recovery issues with a minimum of effort. I mean effort on your part, of course, you have a lot to worry about with that little baby to take care of and everything.
So, while you’re sitting there…
Why not drink a glass of water?
I know what you’re thinking. “Isn’t that just too little effort, Kate? I mean, I know you’re really lazy, but come on.”
No! If you’re in the first 6 weeks postpartum you’re probably still shedding water like nobody’s business. If you’re nursing you need the extra liquids and, you still may need some help to ward off headaches as a result of tension, blood loss and exhaustion.
I bet if you tuned into your body’s immediate needs, you’d realise that you are actually very, very thirsty and need a glass of water right now.
