Breaking many news channels today, at least in my neck of the woods is the story of a 550 pound woman that gave birth to a very healthy baby boy. Doctors in Moscow were the ones to deliver this 4.4lb baby, but the shock wasn’t how tiny he was but how much his momma weighed. The bigger shock was that she actually got pregnant, according to reports anyone over 150 kilograms normally has a hard time.

“The thing is that as a rule, women over 150 kilogrammes have such severe hormonal irregularities they simply can’t get pregnant,” she explained.
Doctors did induce “Nonna M’s” labor, which took 5 hours so they could get him safely out of her. I’m not sure if there were complications or they were afraid of something else. This was the first child for Nonna at the age of 34, not sure if she plans on having more or if he will be an only child. Course what mom ever knows the answer to that after having her first child?
