Omkari Panwar is 70-years-old and while most would be busy celebrating life with their grandchildren she is celebrating the birth of her twin babies. This lady was so determined to have a little boy that they went through IVF treatments, but of course the only way to pay for it meant they’d sell off their livestock, land and everything else they owned. In this case it definitely paid off, the end result was a set of twins, one boy and a girl. This marks a total of 3 girls for them and 1 boy, they have two adult daughters. The babies were taken out by emergency c-section earlier this week, they currently weigh 2lbs each but doctors say they are doing fine.
Congrats to the new parents.

who will raise the child when they are 80?by then the twons will be 10.
Oops, messed up the first time I tried to comment, darn laptop……….. Anyway, I can’t imagine wanting more babies at that age. And what kind of Dr agrees to do fertility treatments on a woman that age? Just because the babies appear okay, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t problems that are not immediately evident. Babies that little, they aren’t matured enough, that’s why they are only 2lbs. I’m not usually judgemental, or at least I try not to be judgemental, but this story is very sad to me. Why didn’t someone say, hey, this is a bad idea?
Although any new baby is a wonderful thing, I feel sorry for the children as their parents are unlikely to be around for the important stages of their life as they grow up. I think its quite a selfish act and no thought has been given to the children’s needs.
Congratulations to the new born babies, howerver, I’m not scare to agree with the position of Michelle and Khaled.
The decision of these grannies is selfish. They never stopped to consider the interest of the little kids that are going to be made orphans at such a tender age. Every child deserve to grow up with their biological parents not foster parents.
WHAT???? Are you serious? I’m with everyone else. Who will raise these children? I can’t imagine giving birth at such an old age and I certainly couldn’t chase the kids around and care for them.
I have no clue, my guess is they didn’t care as long as he had an heir. Course makes you wonder why he couldn’t just give his belongings to their daughters.
I agree with everyone above, i am outraged that a Doctor actually performed IVF for this couple…shame on him/her. “First, do no harm” or do they not take that oath in India???? These poor babies. Who will take care of them when their parents die (soon)? I know that things like traditions and ways of life are different in India (or other countries) and we find them hard to understand, as they do our traditions and way of life, but this is a violation of NATURAL law, not tradition. If they are so traditional in their “clan” way of life…they sure did stray by resorting to something like IVF for a child AT SEVENTY!!! They sure as hell were not her eggs! They are a couple of hippocrates in my book. Shame on all of them!
At least breast feeding will be easy… she can lean over the crib and hang those flap jack pancakes down into their mouths. I bet the milk is sour.
