And generous.
When I begin the preparations for Christmas, I think of other mothers. Mothers who can’t buy their children presents. Mothers who struggle to buy food. Mothers who lose their own lives or their children because they can’t afford medical care or transportation to the nearest clinic.
Naturally, I also think of a little baby who was born in a stable and the hope that one day, there may be peace on Earth.
And, I think of all of you reading this blog too.
So, I am going to give you a present that will go to a family in the developing world. If you ask your friends to visit this blog before the 24th, they can help choose one of these gifts.
If the read page views for December reach 25 000 by Christmas Eve, I’ll get you this for Christmas…
two chickens and a rooster!
OR
If 50 000 pages are read by humans by the 24th, I’ll get you something different. Something a little a bigger…

If you have lots and lots of friends who read many, many posts and we serve up 100 000 pages by the night before Christmas, I will get my readers this for Christmas instead:

All these presents come from the World Vision Gifts that Change Lives catalogue. I hope you like these gift ideas.

Hi
What a great and unusual idea for a gift. This is obviously a happy time of year but I think a lot of people forget that there are far too many people in the world that don’t actually look forward to Christmas for a multitude of reasons. It can be a very lonely and depressing time for many people and anything people can do to help those less fortunate only helps to make the world a better place!
Take care
Rik
How’s this post coming along? Are you having a lot of readers?
It’s fantastic!
Great idea. I gave you a link:

When will you post which gift you’re giving?
Lorraine, Thanks so much for the link. The announcement will be my Christmas morning post.
What a wonderful idea! I’ve also seen similar gifts in a catalogue called “Hiefer”. It’s a great way to help those in need to help themselves to a better future.
Beautiful, Kate. Have a great year.
