A Pair Switched at Birth Meet 56 Years Later

Two women that were switched at birth and raised by the other’s mother have finally met….after 56 years. Kay Rene Reed Qualls and Dee Ann Angell Shafer were born at the Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Oregon and went about their lives never even 
knowing that they were living someone else’s life. Both grew up in happy families and got married, had children and grandchildren.
Just last year the women discovered that they may have been switched at birth, after DNA testing they discovered their fears were correct. How did they discover this? A woman that knew both mothers had suspicions all these years and finally said something.
Believe it or not, one mother, Majorie Angell, had insisted she’d been given the wrong child at birth but her feelings were brushed off. The two women finally met recently, hopefully they’ll be able to live with this and maybe become friends and share stories.
