A Popular Choice for a Reason

Laura and Chris wrote blog posts while Tom and Dave left comments about the Christian charity Compassion International. I have to tell you that your posts did challenge me.
I didn’t understand the nature of the charity’s work until I went deeper into their site. The truth is, I don’t want to give a starving child a book of Bible stories. I want to rehydrate and nourish that child. To my great relief I found out that Compassion International, through their child sponsorship program, through their emergency response programs and work with AIDS orphans, doesn’t provide good news without doing good work.
I had to do research about all of the charities submitted in the Generous December Group Writing Project. I found out that Compassion International has also been cited for its financial integrity.
So, in honor of your participation in the Generous December Group Writing Project, I have donated $20 to the Compassion International AIDS Initiative.
Merry Christmas and God bless.

Wow! Kate this is great news! I totally didn’t expect that our charity would win.
As you said, the charity does much more than provide spiritual training.
Oh, there was something in the Santa sack for everyone
Kate,
Merry Christmas! And thanks for giving to the AIDS Initiative. I sponsor two children that live in Africa and are affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
