Abdominal Amnesia

January 17, 2006 by kate baggott

I used to have abdominal muscles. True, they’ve always been slightly hidden by the extra ten pounds I’ve always had, but they helped keep me upright. Right now, my “natural corset” is looking more like a comfy old sweatshirt and its showing in my slouching.

Apparently, though, this is temporary. Kegels can and should be resumed within a few days of birth with other gentle exercises to be added as the days and weeks pass. This health care agency in Northern California has one of the more doable — in terms of time committment — routines I have seen on the internet.
