Eliza Ferree

Eliza Ferree

Eliza is a wife and mother to four very active children, to which she can thank for her expertise in the parenting field. From whom she's learned that if something can be spilled, it will be spilled and if one of them gets it, they all are going to get it. Eliza loves being able to work from home, where she is always available for hugs and kisses from her rambunctious bunch. Granted she may not be the best cook, course that is what the husband is for right? As a blogger, Eliza writes what she knows - parenting and maintaining a successful family in these challenging economic times. You can also find more of her at The Life of a Home Mom and Sales Weekly. Or for your entertainment pleasure you can find her writing about Celeb Chit Chat and Tom Cruise.

Pampers Diaper Clutch Winner…

The winner of the Pampers Clutch Giveaway goes to number 8! The winner was selected by Random.org and I’ll be writing them later tonight to collect their address. I recently got a clutch in the mail and I must say it is definitely a little helper, I no longer have to lug a diaper bag with me whenever I leave the house to run down the street, visit a nearby friend or even go to the store. Now if I’m going out for longer than an hour I take the diaper bag but for short trips the Clutch works great. Now on to the giveaway winner….we had 18 entries for this contest, not as many as I hoped but as I stated you can get them by purchasing certain packages. Now the winner is…. Erica G says:  I’d like to win Don’t forget... [Read more]

Trying to Be a Big Boy

My little man is going through the stage of trying to be just like everyone else. So I guess it shouldn’t come to a surprise that he now wants to have a PB&J sandwich anytime his siblings are making their lunches. IMG: Ferree  When they make them they make two more halves, one for him then and one for his lunch. Don’t ask me he loves these instant meals. Yesterday, the three had left barely any peanut butter left in the jar and on the table. Little A has been known to grab the jar, open it (not to worry it is plastic) and reach inside to get a taste. So when he did this time I didn’t stop him, instead I swooped him up and placed him in his high chair. I dropped a plate in front of him, a spoon and a piece of bread. He... [Read more]

Sleeping Schedules and Sick Kids

As many of you know the flu or something like it has been going around my house, it is taking turn with each family member with the recent being BalletGirl (age 9) and Little A (age 2). I’ve IMG: Elizabeth Ferree noticed that Little A tends to sleep more now, however not all the time, instead he likes to sleep in the day a lot. Since Little A has something he is very clingy but only when he wants to be, he can get extremely moody too. How many of you have a little one like this? Now think how many of you have an adult family member like this? I’m guessing it runs in the family, but for little ones at this age they don’t understand what is wrong with them or why they feel this way so they get scared and other times they are... [Read more]

Bringing Mommy Home from the Hospital

Everyone is always talking about the things needed to bring baby home, but never what is needed for mom. Many times people just think mom pops the baby out, stays in the hospital for a few hours to a couple days and then goes back home and jumps right into the mommy role. IMG: Sxc.huThis is not always the case, in fact sometimes it takes mom a little longer to jump into the role. What type of delivery did mom have? If mom had a regular birth with no tears it may not be as uncomfortable going home. Mom may want to still take it easy though since it does make you slightly off-balanced once you’ve delivered a baby and no longer have that extra weight. Find out from “MOM” what she wants and how she feels. If mom tore during delivery... [Read more]
