Well then I retract my previous statement… Refusing the name is one thing, but asking for the swastika is a whole new ballgame. They had every right to refuse it.

Still think the parents were wrong though.

just letting ya’ll know I have updated this. I read and saw on The View, that the little boy’s parents wanted more than just his name. I get why the store didn’t do it and fully support them. Seems they tried to help the family out. Shame on the parents.

I think both the store and the parents were wrong. Why would you do that to your children? Reminds me of Johny Cash “A boy Named Sue”. these children will end up hating their parents.
The store was wrong too though because that was discrimination for no reason and the little boy could not help his name.
do you think these parents did this for a chance to sue someone?

They should have made the cake. Not doing it based on his name is the same as not doing it based on his skin color. I would sue.

Except the store didn’t refuse to bake a cake, they refused to put his name on it. They offered to make a blank cake with no name, but the parents refused that offer. Personally I side with the store. it’s nice to see a store actually put humanity before profit.
