Baby Hangs 40ft in Air from Carnival Ride

It’s a terrifying story for any mom to read and I’m sure ya’ll have wondered for a flash second about those carnival rides. Well one moment got the scare of her life this weekend when she took her 2 or 3-year old daughter on a bus ride, The Crazy Bus, that goes up in the air and back and forth and then full circle. I’ve been on this ride and was terrified myself of this very thing happening.

Once in the air and at the top her daughter somehow came unsnapped and was hanging from the ride. Her mother, Sherry Pinkerton, held on to her for dear life, un in the air about 35-40 ft up.  The mother and daughter were actually getting off the ride when it suddenly started back up, the seat latch caught the mom half in and half out of the seat. Her daughter had gotten out of it and was just about to fall out completely, her mom was actually holding on to her leg.

Spectators watched in horror as they worried the little darling would come falling down onto the hard concrete slab beneath the ride. A group of men began to gather and started yelling for the mom to drop her daughter and they’d catch her. I’m sure, like any mom, she was hesitant, but finally she did release the grasp of her daughter into the care of strangers.

She was caught and watched over as the fire fighters quickly worked at getting mom unstuck and down, to where she ran for her baby and thanked everyone before leaving the carnival. Can ya really blame her? The ride was shut down for the rest of the carnival.
