Baby Left in Field

A newborn baby was found after it was left in an open field in Oregon earlier this week is currently in state custody. But the baby’s biological mother and family is fighting to get the child back. Officials are upset that they found the baby in a field. The mother is a known transient and they believe she is just unfit to be caring for a child.
When they took the child, the family claimed the only reason mom left the child there was to get cleaned up after just giving birth. So not only did she not leave the baby but she’d just given birth in an open field BY HERSELF! The baby’s family was in court Monday to fight for it. His/her grandmother was there along with a man claiming to be the baby’s father. Currently he is taking a paternity test, if it claims he is the daddy he can get custody of the child, in the meantime the baby is in foster care.

If the courts cant protect a child from a crazy family like that what’s the point in having them. 1. no same parent would leave a baby alone in a field, where anything could have come and taken it. 2. If the grandparents or father knew the mum to be wasn’t in a fit mental state they shouldn’t have let her out on her own. Idiots like them shouldn’t be allowed to take care of children!!!!
