Baby Whale to be Put Down

The baby whale I mentioned the other day is now being considered for being put down. A local vet in Australian believes this would be the only humane thing to do since the mother has yet to find her baby and he/she continues to grow weaker and thinner.
By the way, the whale has been named “Colin.”

Check out what others are saying about this post...[...] Baby Whale, Colin, was euthanized yesterday afternoon when a team of experts met with one another to talk about what could be done for him. The whale had grown increasingly skinny and hadn’t ate in five days. Keep in mind this is the same baby whale that adopted the yacht as its mom, since mom (the boat) couldn’t nurse him there was no food going to him and he wouldn’t eat anything thrown into the waters. Experts feared he’d soon become shark bait and had to think of something quickly. Attempts to get him to be adopted by a pod were rejected and he swam back to where the yacht stayed. [...]
